The Astrology of Schiaparelli FW 2026- Daniel Roseberry

One of the oldest delineations for Venus in the nativity would be those whose works included textiles, fabric dyers, and pigment artisans, which, in the modern world, I take to include everything we see at Haute Couture Week and in fashion! Daniel Roseberry is the embodiment of Venus in Leo right now!

Schiaparelli’s silhouettes and creations this season have stepped beyond the sphere of fashion and reflected to us the archetypal essence of Venus in the sign of the Lion and the interesting manifestations that a Mercury retrograde can bring to the haute couture runways in Paris!

Daniel Roseberry, who is no stranger to his own fortune with his 2025 post sharing their exact birth time, allows us to look at their latest creation through the lens of Astrology.

(They also have the same Sun sign as Elsa Schiaparelli herself: Virgo Queens.)

Daniel Roseberry 43 weeks ago via Instagram shared a caption with their entire birthday details: September 5th, 1985, at 7:30 AM. AA rating.

In ancient astrology, the Moon here is the Luminary that guides the way, known as the “luminary of the sect.” The reflective, oceanic fascination with the unconscious reflects the Cancerian water imagery; all references are found in this native’s astrological DNA. We can trace this essence back to Daniel’s work, even down to the invite for Paris FW 2026, which features a golden octopus ornament! Okay, Cancer rising, we see you, Luna, in her own sign of “exaltation,” where VENUS rules her; the ancient astrologers denote this as the most fortunate place she has in the entire zodiac.

The moon’s power in the second decan of Taurus also highlights decanic dignity and the native excelling in work that has to do with luxury materials and the crafting of items of extreme worth and luxury for those in the spotlight, celebrities, and nobles in power, all being significations that correspond to Leo and Taurus in this nativity. The head of the dragon here, in the sign of Taurus, only amplifies the relationship with the royals.

This moon is in the 11th house of “good spirits,” a place where communities and allies come to elevate the worth and the mercurial amplification of the natives’ talents, enabling them to turn raw materials into one-of-a-kind pieces of art with this distinctive otherly touch Schiaparelli has curated.

The devotion to surrealism as a signature of the House of Schiaparelli is inherently lunar, seeking to evoke and unlock something in the viewer's mind and psyche.

(Elsa Schiaparelli’s moon was in the 10th house of Leo after all)

The memories of the lunar people here serve as landscapes of imagination where we hear Roseberry mention Dante’s Inferno being read while he was 12 as a reference in some interviews in 2023 to his remarks about having “visions” of the lights, settings, and materials for the current 2026 Fall Winter collection just debuted; the lunar muse follows this native!

This was taken to extreme heights this week, as Venus returned the promise to exalt this native’s ability to spotlight abstract uses of resources and materials, and the techniques by which the atelier lead under his imaginative gaze took our current sky and brought it to life.

“But I feel like I'm constantly going back to childhood references, moments that I had where my mom taught me how to draw. In that safe space is when great ideas can happen.”

- David Roseberry 2023, In The Studio: Daniel Roseberry on the Heritage of Surrealism at Schiaparelli

We see Firmicus Maternus present a very important delineation that confirms the prestige Daniel would come to be known for!

“Natives who have Venus in the second house in a nocturnal chart will be designers of important crafts. They will become very wealthy but over a period of time; be charming, agreeable in love affairs, but often victims of scandal.”

The scandals in personal life, along with the presence of Mercury conjoined Mars, bring opposition to the current fashion and beauty worlds amid war.

The power of a decans ability to execute a specific task, extremely well shows with the natives Mars in Leo opening the door to tenacity and ability to bring solar goals to triumph and victory along with being among the warmongered and killer alike (nod to their “missions” in israel and jordan as part of their growing up showing the corruption here to power being a part of their storyline. With the sponsoring of Israeli artists in January of 2023 for the lion headpiece, this smears the brand’s image, as later in the fall we see an uptick to this day of war and genocide with no collection of people in the house of Schiaparelli showing solidarity to the Palestinian cause and liberation (or the sponsored animal replica collaborator). We see both the blessing and the corruption of the nodes and Mars.

What role does the artist's political stance play on the runway? Is there a reality in which the artisan and the world's conflicts meet in a neutral way? A question to you, my reader. Is the art shared with a lack of conscious awareness of bloodshed a statement itself? All the questions I found myself asking after finding these parts of the nativity.

*Roseberry has not collaborated with an artist from this location since. (notable)*

While this does not detract from the artisan’s craft, it highlights the co-presence of Mars and Mercury! I do think it’s worth mentioning, as it’s part of the delineations associated with Mars, a planet glamorized and ignored in the modern lexicon of astrological delineations. The only two references to these ties highlight the symbology of Mars in the decan of the literal Lion, being the ancient imagery associated with this part of Leo.

Still another delineation adds to the combination of these three planets together:

“ If Venus is in any aspect or is found with Mercury and Mars, she makes managers for emperors, in charge of public revenues or the privy purse; they are logical reasoners, accustomed to handling important affairs.” - Firmicus Maternus.

Lady Gaga wore a fitted jacket in navy cashmere and a skirt in washed red silk éclair with a gilded dove of peace brooch.

This speaks to the relationship this person will have to those in power and the managerial part being the adornment of their public-facing garments, like Lady Gaga in the inauguration of Joe Biden, speaks to the leonic nobles this person’s needle and thread will serve.

The tension between artistry and power is something we can see in astrology's burdens and in the mind of this creative.

The next notable thing that uplifts this natives chart is the fixed star Regulus in the 29th degree of Leo in the 1990s. With Venus meeting this part of the chart and “lord of the annual revolution,” we see the creation from the 5th house emerge cloaked in reguline opulence and solar notoriety!

For those who don’t know, Regulus is one of the four royal fixed stars in astrology, which are among the factors used to denote power and eminence in a birth chart.

Ali A Olomi shares on their Patreon:

“Those born under its favor shall be a leader among men and will command great loyalty from regiments and troops. Their words will be heeded, and many shall march under their authority, and they shall be held in awe. They shall be granted great fortune, fame, and eminence. They will love praise and be victorious in many things. This is the star of rulers, masters of great matters, and commanders. It is of the nature of Jupiter and Mars.” - Persian source of al-Andarzaghar found in al-Dainawari, Sahl, and Abu Ma’shar."

This would mean that we could have expected Daniel Roseberry to triumph in the laborious works they undertook to bring us their latest collection, “The Abyss”.

These indicators help us explain extremely high peaks in our nativities that may indicate the position or victory we might see in people with such natal promises. For the Venusian here, bringing the Leonic spotlight and working the idea of “Light” inherently draws us back to the sign of Leo and its relation to the Sun! And the ruler of their sun? (Mercury) Had Lady Venus right above them ;) almost celestially poetic.

The Abyss Fall Winter 2026 - Schiaparelli

Daniel Roseberry mentions the inspiration behind this season, specifically a visit to Rome and the Sistine Chapel. This lands us right back to the occult and astrology, as the images that Daniel gazed upon were painted by none other than Michelangelo, a prisoner under the patronage of the Medici family. This artist (Roseberry) acknowledged this by specifically mentioning, “He didn’t tell us what happened, but instead gave his audience permission on how to feel when they looked at art.” Amidst the chaos in our world, this sentiment highlights the search for the celestial, inspired by both the heavenly and the infernal, that brought Michelangelo’s muse to complete his works. Daniel shares:

“The entire emotional heartbeat of this season became not what it looks like, but how we feel when we make it? What a relief that was. What a revelation. That revelation informed every part of this collection. Sharp strokes and rapid squiggles became scorpion tails. I drew stingers and snake teeth, chimeraed archetypes of couture with venom woven inside their very silhouettes. I knew these reptilian/arachnid creatures, these “infantas terribles,” as I called them, would become the heroes of the collection.”

The first look in our breakdown to reflect on would be this iconic look No. 30:

“Glowing dress featuring a molded bustier in white glazed porcelain-effect silicone, with a racer back and lacing details, and mirrored fringes embroidered with a white-to-mirror sfumato gradient. The fringed skirt is illuminated from within.

Silver brass earrings, one depicting a seashell suspending a baroque pearl, the other inspired by a marine fossil with a central baroque pearl. Mirror leather sandals with a curved heel, a rhinestone charm, and matching leather soles.”

The detail and Lunar essence behind this silhouette is so over! This look is being used to dress Zendaya hours later, who plays “Athena” in the new Odyssey movie, echoing the martial undertones in these natives’ lives! The pearls here, being classically Venusian and Lunar, used here with materials never used before for this kind of silhouette construction, highlight the “mastery” behind this medium and craft.

The next lunar and quite mercury in cancer piece I saw would be look No. 12:

“Glowing sharp-shouldered tailored jacket in an amber hue silicone inspired by the Maison’s iconic Shocking perfume bottle. The jacket is embroidered with the signature Measuring Tape along the edge and illuminated from within. Low-rise bias-cut pants in black liquid satin. Gold-plated brass chandelier necklace adorned with rhinestones and baroque pearls. Anemone-inspired earring in gold brass and rhinestones. Black brushed leather belt embellished with a buckle inspired by a coral reef. Black satin sandals with a curved heel, a rhinestone bijou and mirror leather soles.”

The almost overtly mercurial and lunar signatures here bring the image of Mercury in cancer retrograde to the runway! This person’s ability to reference the planet rejoicing on their ascendant right now

(Mercury in Cancer performs best as the interlocker between the above and the below in the first house, which is Cancer for Roseberry.)

A perfect blend of artistry and craftsmanship that brought such a statement piece to life! THAT NECKLACE THOUGH!!!

The next look takes a turn toward a sharper, more defined edge of the collection. We meet the “infantas terribles” with an interesting twist on the looks above that Schiaparelli has mastered over the years. With look No. 10:

Sculptural jacket in glossy black latex encrusted with hand-shaped inflatable spikes inspired by swirling brushstrokes. Matching extra-low-rise leggings leaving the midriff exposed. Bubble pumps embroidered with inflatable hand-sculpted spikes, featuring an integrated latex sock and a sole in chrome-finished leather.

The more Avant-Garde here JUMPS out! Taking the solid colors and a more abstract silhouette, turning it into this insane humanoid low cut that distorts the perception of the body, reminding me of sea urchins and octopus hands.

Lastly, the most campy look of the season with the most OVERT Venusian essence on her! We see look No. 7 (number of Venus):

“A dress in a dress”. At the front, a bustier dress embroidered with silver thread, satin stitch, baroque pearls, seashells, and rhinestones. At the back, a micro-pleated dress in white crepe jersey revealing an anatomical corset forming a surreal face. Sea urchin-inspired sandals embroidered with white hand-sculpted crin spikes, rhinestones featuring a curved heel, a rhinestone charm, and mirror leather soles.

In my perfect world, this is how Venus meets me at the end of my petitions to her! The numerology matching the adornments and the essence of the model’s catwalk was so gratifying and a clear image of Venus meeting with the Royal Regulus! A dress outside of a dress?! How nodal!

The world of astrology can give context and imagery with this level of detail when we have the natives birth time and information, this also shows the ways that ancient astrology had these pattern and aspect recognitions that could allow you to ping these promises and tensions between the muse and the artist that bring to fruition such iconic venusian pieces in our time no matter the personal opinion we have on “fashion” and its efficiency/need in the modern world.

Where does Schiaparelli take you?
