Addressing the american Astrological industry

With our Katabasis on the horizon, I wanted to reflect the legacy of the Galas and focus on lamentation and supplication to our queen of heaven and hell. I strive to emerge from her retrograde focused on my own craft and practice, and hope to uplift and exalt the work of those around me.

I’ve spent a great deal of time online trying to protect people and the things I believe are important. But even when we are trying to make things better, we can unintentionally make them worse.

For the past year, my focus has been on my ethics, my community of clients, and the well-being of the people I serve each week through my sliding-scale work. I have offered guidance to many sisters who might otherwise have been left to walk without the guidance of the stars.

This post is dedicated to the American West and the broader North Pacific West, where I have become known perhaps even infamous for my tone, delivery, and pointed criticism of the ethics, exploitation, and false sense of “community” surrounding magical and occult services.

I have also spoken openly about amateur practitioners whose conduct may place clients at risk, particularly those seeking help through talismanic shops and related spiritual services.

For my work to cross its next threshold, I must remove myself from the public square. My honest—and sometimes difficult—critiques need to take place within a private community where those who support and uplift my work can engage safely, without the conversation being distorted and endlessly fed to the Ouroboros.

I strongly believe that my personality, my Puerto Rican dialect, the nature of my tone, and where I come from have all been used to misrepresent my character and public image.

This experience is not new to someone like me or to people from where I come from. However, I will not allow it to become the final nail in the coffin of my legacy in the Americas. Get to know me before allowing the whispers of colleagues traveling through the grapevine to determine your conclusions about who I am, what I do, and why I do it.

If you have a personal issue with me, please email me or reach out so that we can speak face-to-face. I am not inaccessible. Most people know only five percent of what has been said about me—and, after all, I’m not from here.

Let us change that in the foreseeable future through respect. I would not answer to God himself if he addressed me the way some astrologers have.

In recent weeks, I have been associated with alleged pedophiles, characterized as mentally ill, and subjected to slurs. As the only person known for wearing makeup and cross-dressing within the NPW conference circuit, I find this treatment particularly revealing. It reflects the same homophobia and transphobia that I experience regularly.

Whatever disagreements may exist, they do not justify dehumanization. Respect must remain the foundation of any honest conversation.

You will respect me, that’s not negociable.
