Taurus first Decan | Tauro I Decanato
Si naciste entre el 20 de abril y el 20 de mayo, vemos al sol danzar a través del primer decanato de Tauro. La fertilidad, la exuberancia y la planificación de las tierras fecundas son el tema y el contorno de esta franja del cielo.
La primera cara de Tauro y la exaltación de las muñecas se encuentran en este espacio de 10 grados del zodíaco.
Los decanatos son un antiguo esquema zodiacal basado en 10 grados que se implementó en el esquema inicial, pero no se usaba con la misma intensidad y tonalidad que en el mundo medieval. Encendieron su esencia y tomaron este esquema, añadiéndole representaciones y emanaciones multiculturales basadas en el linaje de las fuentes que transmitió la tradición helenística.
Para comprender el tema de la exaltación, citamos a nuestro amigo, Firmicus Maternus, escritor y astrólogo romano. Firmicus nos dice:
“Debemos conocer la exaltación y la debilidad; es decir, qué significa la exaltación de cada planeta, cuando alcanza el máximo de su fuerza natural, y cuál es su caída, cuando sufre la pérdida de dicha fuerza…
Cuando los planetas están en sus propias exaltaciones, decimos que se regocijan. Siempre que en una carta astral la mayoría de los planetas se encuentran en el grado exacto de su exaltación, indican la mayor prosperidad”.
Con grados específicos que marcan la exaltación más alta del signo, es el tercer grado de Tauro el que alberga la exaltación de nuestra dama de luz plateada: Luna.
Profundizando en el rostro y la imagen que se alzan en este lugar de exaltación para las mujeres, los niños, las muñecas y las REINAS.
La gran introducción de Abu Ma'shar al-Balkhi, traducida por Keiji Yamamoto x Charles Burnett, nos dice en la página 555:
“Los indios sostenían que en este decanato asciende una mujer con abundante cabello, hermosa y rizada, similar a una dama noble.
Tiene un hijo y viste ropa, algunas de las cuales se incendian. Se preocupa por encontrar ropa y adornos para su hijo.”
La capacidad de la Luna para traer los artículos esenciales para la nave lunar y el entorno. Las necesidades fundamentales para crear comodidad y ocio.
En la danza mensual con la dama de los mayores cambios en nuestros cuerpos, aguas y entornos, la Luna domina la asignación de recursos para ayudarnos a alcanzar nuestra meta o a deshacernos de aquello que limita nuestra capacidad de alcanzar la exaltada fortuna que buscamos. Mientras el Sol danza en Cáncer (¡GRITEN LOS CANGREJOS!), vemos la luna menguante en esta parte del cielo hasta la temporada de Escorpio.
Las imágenes de las santas mujeres y la iconografía de la Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, la Virgen de la Macarena, la Virgen María, y el arte de las damas nobles y el séquito de espíritus que protegen a los niños por el bien de su vasija/vestidura.
Uno de los patakis que puedo resumir a través del folclore oral y que mejor representa la fortuna otorgada en este decanato es aquel en el que Oshún es bendecida por la madre de los ríos, Yemayá.
El Pataki dice así:
“En sus esfuerzos por ayudar al mundo, Oshún perdió su fortuna. Después de esto, comenzó a lavar ropa en el río y la gente le pagaba con monedas.
Un día, una moneda cayó al agua y la corriente la arrastró hasta el mar.
Le rogó a Yemayá y a Olokun que le devolvieran su última moneda, pues era todo lo que tenía para pagar la comida de sus hijos.
Los dioses a los que rogó escucharon sus plegarias y reunieron los grandes océanos hasta que Oshún pudo ver las grandes riquezas en el fondo de los siete mares.
Pero Oshún solo recogió la moneda que había perdido y regresó. Los dioses, sin entender por qué había tomado esa moneda, no dijeron nada más:
"Por tu honor y honestidad, te damos parte de nuestra riqueza y el río como tu hogar, pero nunca más des todo lo que tienes".
Este Pataki nos habla de la bendición que se nos otorga al visitar los lugares de los espíritus y entidades benéficas con gracia y piedad. Aquí vemos la historia de Oshún, quien entregó todo lo que tenía, su fortuna entera, al MUNDO, a los humanos desagradecidos, pero también a las personas (regidas por la Luna en astrología).
La lección es nunca ceder a la naturaleza canceriana, sino mantener SIEMPRE las raíces taurinas.
La bendición de los espíritus del agua, pero más específicamente, la mención de Olokun. Olorisha es conocido por intentar acabar con la humanidad debido a su olvido y por otorgarle poder a la propia Yemayá. Un lugar donde la asignación correcta y las aguas fértiles correctas vienen y nos adornan con su bendición después de haber estado en un estado caído.
Esto resalta la exaltación y la caída de la esfera lunar en la técnica astrológica, explicada y vista a través de historias orales y tradiciones populares. El reflejo de nuestra técnica como astrólogos encontrados en diferentes epífetas geográficos de las mismas danzas con la fortuna y el deseo de tener fortuna, nos exalta.
Personas con su sol en este decante Austin Coppock nos habla de las personas con su Sol en esta parte del Zodiaco:
“El Sol aquí atrae la atención del nativo hacia la importancia de la planificación, sin embargo, este mismo enfoque a menudo crea una personalidad aprensiva... Taurus I | First Decan of Taurus:
If you were born around April 20th to May 20th, we see the sun dancing through the first decan of Taurus. The fertile, lush and the plotting of the fecundious lands are the theme and outline of this sliver of the sky.
The first face of Taurus and the exaltation of the dolls are found in this 10-degree slot of the zodiac.
The Decans are an ancient 10-degree-based scheme of the zodiac that was implemented in the early scheme but were not used with the same saturation and hue as the medieval world, ignited their essence and took this scheme and added multi-cultural representations and emanations based on the lineage of sources they were handed down by the Hellenistic tradition.
In order to understand the topic of exaltation, we reference our friend, Firmicus Maternus, a Roman writer and astrologer. Firmicus tells us:
“We must know about exaltation and debility-that is, what is meant by the exaltation of each individual planet, in which it is raised up to a maximum of its own natural force, and what is its fall, when it suffers loss of that force…
When planets are in their own exaltations we say that they rejoice. Whenever in a chart the majority of the planets is in the exact degree of their exaltation, then they indicate the greatest prosperity.”
With specific degrees marking the highest exaltation found in the sign, it’s the 3rd degree of Taurus that holds the exaltation for our lady of silver light: Luna.
Diving deeper into the “face” and image that rises in this place of exaltation for the women, the children, the dolls, and the QUEENS!
The Great Introduction by Abu Ma'shar al-Balkhi translated by Keiji Yamamoto x Charles Burnett, tells us on page 555:
The Indians maintained that there ascends in this decan a woman with much hair on her head, beautiful and curly-haired, and similar to a noble lady.
She has a child, and is wearing clothes, some of which catch fire. She is concerned about finding clothes and ornaments for her child.
The moon’s ability to bring down the essential items for the Lunar vessel and the environment. The fundamental necessities to create comfort and leisure.
The monthly dance with the lady of most change to our bodies, our waters, and environments, the moon holds sway over the allotment of resources to help us arrive at our goal or shed that which limits our ability to arrive at the exalted fortune we seek.
As the sun dances in Cancer (SHOUT OUT THE CRABS), we see the waning of the moon in this part of the sky until Scorpio season.
The images of the saintly women and the iconography of La Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre, Virgen de la Macarena, Mother Mary, and the artistry of the noble ladies and the retinue of spirits that protect the children at the sake of their vessel/garment.
One of the patakis that I can summarize through oral folklore that best represents the fortune bestowed in this decan is the one where Oshun is blessed by the mother of rivers, Yemaya.
The Pataki goes like this:
“In her efforts to help the world, Oshun lost her fortune. After this, she began washing clothes in the river, and people paid her with coins.
One day, a coin fell into the water, and the current carried it to the sea.
She begged Yemaya and Olokun to return her last coin, because it was all she had to pay for food for her children.
The gods she begged heard her prayers and gathered the great oceans until Oshun could see the great riches at the bottom of the seven seas.
But Oshun only picked up the coin she had lost and returned. The gods, not understanding why she had taken that coin, said nothing more:
"For your honor and honesty, we give you parts of our wealth and the river as your home, but never again give away everything you have."

This Pataki speaks to us about the blessing bestowed on us when we visit the places of Benefic spirits and entities with grace and piety. Here we see the story of Oshun giving away all she had, her entire fortune, to the WORLD, the ungrateful humans, but also the people (ruled by the moon in astrology).
The lesson is to never give in to a Cancerian nature but to ALWAYS keep fixed, Taurean roots. Without sight to the shore, we may swim too far astray.
The blessing of the spirits of water, but more specifically, the mention of Olokun. Olorisha is known to have attempted to end humanity due to its forgetfulness and bestowed power to Yemaya herself. A place where the right allotment and right fertile waters come and adorn us with their blessing after being in a fallen state.
This highlights the exaltation and fall of the Lunar sphere in the astrological technique explained and seen through oral stories and folk traditions. The reflection of our technique as astrologers found in different geographic epiphets of the same dances with fortune and the desire to have fortune, exalts us.

“The Sun here draws the native's attention to the importance of planning; however, this same focus often creates an apprehensive personality... The Sun illuminates, and therefore, an image of the Sun over the fields will help generate a greater awareness of what is worth growing.
